The list below is the evidence which we can accept as identification, we will need to see at least one of these before enrolling you on a course. We will complete an Identification Evidence form and ask you sign it to confirm the evidence was provided.

any other form of identity card, including Identity Card issued by an EU/EEA member state

Certificate of Identity – Limited Leave to Remain (brown) – provided it is still valid and has not expired

Certificate of Travel (black)

Convention Travel Document (CTD)

Residence Permit

IND Application Registration Card (also known as the Application Registration Card or asylum seeker registration card)

police warrant card
-
photo credit/debit card issued by a UK/EU bank

disabled driver’s pass

OAP travel pass
-
public-service employees’ (e.g. NHS, Fire, Army) employment cards where ID is already provided, and library cards, for example, where the Learner’s name and one of [address, picture, NI number, date of birth, signature] is included

current full or provisional UK driving licence

original Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) certificate

construction industry – tax exemption certificate with photograph of holder (forms CIS4, CIS6)

benefits book or original notification letter from the Benefits Agency (including Dept. of Work and Pensions) and/or Jobcentre Plus confirming the right to benefit

NHS medical card

Council Tax bill or payment book (within last 12 months)

utility bill (within last 6 months)

bank/building society/credit card statement (within last 6 months)
-
original mortgage statement (no more than 12 months old)

current home or motor insurance certificate (issued within the last 12 months, can only be used by policy holder)

current local Council rent card or tenancy agreement (private tenancy agreements are not acceptable)

Inland Revenue tax notification (not P45 or P60)

letter of referral from a prison officer or probation officer in the case of probationers.
